I have had many great conversations in my head while drinking a glass of wine! Trying to remember them later was impossible, but they were great at the time. Drinking alone is frowned upon in our society, but if you stick to only a glass or two, it is a interesting way to get to know yourself. Ok, perves, I meant your "Mind"!
Wine, as with any alcohol, will loosen your mind and bring all those thoughts you usually squelch to the surface. Now, I have to say, my inclination was not to drink on my own most of the time, it just happened that way. I would pour a glass expecting my husband home any minute, but alas, that minute stretched to an hour or so. And, hence, the drinking alone part. Your mind may start going over past conversations with other people, wander off to how you want to redecorate that room that has needed it for years or, in today's case with me, I was thinking how the death of 3 trees on one side of our property, has allowed a better view from my Family room.
I am not a religious person and don't particularly believe in destiny, but some things just make you go "Hmm". If those 3 trees had survived, they would have fully blocked my entire view, so I am grateful at the time that they aren't here anymore. My husband and I have talked about replacing them, but with this horrible suburban clay soil, it doesn't seem worth the cost.
If you happened upon my first blog and liked it, let me know. Please, don't tell me if you didn't because I have no desire to hear any negative feedback - who does??!!
Yours,
